Using Chef Arnold
Chef Arnold helps organise cooking and estimate recipe nutrition. Ingredient matching, photo recognition, swaps and nutrition estimates can contain errors. Check original instructions, ingredient labels, cooking temperatures and cross-contact risks. Swap suggestions apply only to their stated cooking context. This is not medical advice or an allergy-safety certification. Weight logging is optional and does not change Arnold’s shape.
Subscription and trial
Weekly and monthly plans unlock Chef Arnold while access is active. The purchase screen shows Apple’s local price, billing period and any eligible trial before you confirm. A trial renews into the selected paid plan unless cancelled. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges your account and controls trial eligibility; introductory offers are limited across a subscription group. Manage or cancel in your App Store account. Deleting the app or your data does not cancel billing. Restore purchases is available without an active membership.
Photo allowance
Photo scanning needs an internet connection and has daily usage limits shown in the app. An attempted scan can use an allowance even if recognition fails or times out. Retrying the same request does not make another model call, but its previous draft cannot be replayed because the service does not store drafts. Starting a new scan can use another allowance. Offline cooking, swaps and saved plans remain available only while verified subscription access is valid.
Recipe credits
Recipe pages show the available source, licence and adaptation notice. Ingredient quantities, instruction structure and timers may be adapted. Share-alike adaptations retain their stated licence. Adapted public-sector material uses the attribution required by the Open Government Licence; no public body endorses this app.
Preview limitations
Development previews may contain machine-validated recipes that have not completed human review, and show that status in the app. They are for testing. Release checks require reviewed content, live service verification, successful Apple purchase tests and iPhone validation. A browser preview does not verify StoreKit billing or native photo capture.
